Tait Sign In Help
- What is Tait Sign In?
- At Tait we have several applications and services that help you do business. These applications need to know what access you have and as a result, require you to sign in.
- Due to needing to know who you are, we require you to sign in with the Tait Sign In process, to validate that it is really you, using these applications.
- Why can I only sign in to some applications and not others?
- Permission is granted separately for each application, so it is possible you may only have access to some applications.
- You can request access to a particular application by registering your interest with the owner of that application.
- Why do I need to sign in?
- Aside from the usual security and privacy concerns, signing in with Tait Sign In allows us to personalise your experience and offer you relevant content for your location. It also helps us direct your enquiries and technical problems to the right place efficiently, which lets us provide you with the service you deserve and expect from Tait.
- What happens if I receive a message saying, "Incorrect username or password"?
- This means the username or password you entered was incorrect or mistyped. If you are not sure, that you have entered the correct details of user name and password, then please contact the IST Help Desk, and they can have your password reset for you.
- What browser settings do I need?
- You will need JavaScript and Cookies enabled to view the applications and services provided. Systems Designer has some additional requirements that are outlined within that application.
- How often do I need to sign in?
- So you don't need to keep signing in, whenever you access a Tait application, your sign in information is persisted accross all the applications (NOTE: we do NOT persist your password accross applications). Your sign in information will expire after 14 hours, requiring you to sign in once every 14 hours. We hope that this is sufficient time, for you to access the information you require from Tait.
- What sign in user and password do I use?
- Your user name and password and stored in the global Tait directory system (ldap). When you sign in onto your system, you need to use a user name and password (as well as for e-mail, calendar, etc). You can use the same user name and password, for the Tait Sign In, that you use to access normal Tait systems.
