Tait has become one of the first companies in the world to achieve the latest ISO9001 quality management system certification.

Roger Atkinson, Tait Group Quality Manager receivesthe new certificate from Peter Rose, Chief Executive of Telarc.

The new standard, ISO9001:2000, was issued in mid-December just as Tait wasbeing reassessed by Telarc New Zealand.

While Tait has held ISO9001 status since 1994, Tait Group QualityManager Roger Atkinson is pleased the company now complies with the very latestversion.

'The new standard covers the whole organisation, not just products, and putthe onus on management to set objectives, plan and review,'saysRoger.

'It also requires you to focus more on the customer, and it's process-basedwith an emphasis on continual improvement.'
