Tait demonstrated working APCO P25 digital products to North American dealers and end users at the recent International Wireless Communications Expo in Las Vegas, attracting keen interest and gaining some substantial sales opportunities.

What's more, the latest Tait base station, the cost-effective slimline TB7100, was showcased to IWCE visitors and became a talking point amongst visitors and competitors alike. The base station's continuous duty operation at 50W* power output positions the offering very competitively in the marketplace and kept visitors flowing through the stand to take a look.

IWCE is North America's largest annual wireless communications technologies trade show, dedicated to dealers, public safety professionals and end users of wireless communications equipment including transportation and utilities.

The Tait booth at IWCE 2005, held from April 6 to 8, attracted a steady flow of visitors keen to see Tait's newly operational P25 digital base station, portable and mobile products, as well as other recently released products such as the TM8250 mobile and TaitNet QS² Simulcast.

Tait North America sales and marketing staff teamed with Tait Electronics product managers to man the booth and demonstrate our range of products to potential customers.

The new TM8000 40/50W mobile radios were unveiled at the show, underlining Tait's commitment to the North American market with its demand for higher power radios. The TB8100 base station was also on show complete with a live demonstration of the service kit to show remote monitoring capabilities.

Another feature of IWCE for Tait was the company's meeting with key dealers, consultants and potential end users. More than 100 show visitors attended to learn about the latest Tait products and their applications, and Tait's market strategy, which was well received.

Bill Fredrickson, Tait North America President, says IWCE was a great success for Tait North America and the company expects to gain significant opportunities from its attendance at the show.

"We're really excited about the response to Tait and our products at IWCE. There was as much interest in our North American-centric solutions as there was by large, influential dealers wanting to represent Tait in the market place. We will have our hands full over the next few months following up on the opportunities," Mr Fredrickson says.
