TB7100 Base Station Opens New Doors For Tait
Date : June 1, 2005
Tait has developed a competitively priced new base station/repeater with the compact new TB7100.
The TB7100 is a cost-effective base station capable of continuous duty operation at 25W, 40W (UHF) or 50W (VHF) power output.
The TB7100 is Tait's first lower tier base station according to Infrastructure Group Manager Mark Gallagher.
"With our popular T800 and advanced TB8100 base stations, we have long been strong in the mid-to-high tier base station markets," says Mr Gallagher.
"We now have a new cost effective base station and when you compare its performance, it will be a very competitive product."
The TB7100 is designed for use with an external DC power supply, and comes in a 19 inch 1U rack bin, which can be wall mounted.
With an optional internal duplexer, the TB7100 is capable of full duplex operation for a voice or data channel.
It's also an ideal high speed data platform, with data rates up to 19.2kbps.
"The initial market feedback to the TB7100 has been fantastic," says Mr Gallagher. "We are very confident it will be successful in infrastructure environments where dependable RF performance is important but low cost is essential."
