Tait Electronics Ltd Undergraduate Scholarship
One or more scholarships are available each year to full-time students enrolled for the 3rd Pro year of the degree of BE(Hons) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.These are available to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
Provided suitable positions are available, Tait Electronics may offer scholarship holders paid employment during the summer holidays following the tenure of the award.

Tait Electronics Ltd Research Fellowships
Tait provides the funds for these fellowships with income from donations, for the purpose of encouraging research in electrical and electronic engineering.
One or more fellowships are available each year for Masters or PhD research in electrical and electronic engineering that is relevant to Tait.Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
Value:
$15,000 per annum (Masters)
$30,000 per annum (PhD)
Tenure: one year (Masters), three years (PhD)
Closing date: 1 November

Fu-Sheng Shaio (Masters). Thesis topic: Turbo Equalization and Decoding for Wireless Channels.
Karla Smith (PhD). Thesis topic: High Efficiency Power Amplifiers for Linear Transmitters.
Steven Bly Memorial Scholarship In Electrical And Electronic Engineering (Undergraduate)
This scholarship is offered by Tait in memory of former Tait employee Steven Bly, to recognise his many contributions to the company particularly in the field of digital radio research. Steven lost his life on the slopes of Mt Rolleston pursuing one of his great loves, mountaineering.
He was a former student and lecturer in the University of Canterbury Electrical and Electronic Engineering department, with interests in digital signal processing and its application to RF communications.
One scholarship is offered annually, open to full-time students enrolled in the second or third professional year of BE(Hons) at the university's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens.
Value: $1,500
Tenure: one year
