Tait to link Public Safety Agencies in North Dakota

MAY 2007 - Tait Radio Communications in the United States has been awarded a contract to install its TaitNet P25 digital network solution on a turnkey basis for the City of Grand Forks, the County of Grand Forks, both in eastern North Dakota, and Polk County in northwestern Minnesota. Tait's suite of P25 products will be implemented throughout the area, with all solutions being fully P25 compliant and digital, analog and mixed mode capable.

The Tait network solution will help link and provide seamless, interoperable communications for police, fire, EMS and numerous other city and county agencies in the area.

According to Bill Fredrickson, President of Tait Radio Communications North America, Inc., the TaitNet P25 system was chosen for its flexibility to handle analog and digital users seamlessly on one platform and its scalability in size and function. With the contract in place, Tait expects installation of the system to begin in the first quarter of 2007.
