Tait Oceania's Newly Appointed Managing Director

It seems a bit presumptuous to think that you may want to know something about the new person who has come to fill the Managing Director’s position at Tait Oceania but as it is a long time since I met many of you and some of you I haven’t met at all, maybe it’s a good idea. I’ll try to make it brief.

I come to Brisbane having spent 26 years with Tait Electronics in several parts of the world and in many roles. My last two significant roles have been as Regional General Manager Europe based in the UK and then Group Sales Manager based in Christchurch .

When the opportunity presented itself to come to Brisbane to lead the Tait Oceania organisation I jumped at it as I have always said that this is one of the best jobs in the Tait group. The position in Brisbane has been broadened a little to take in the Tait Asia Group that includes offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand and now reports directly to Michael Chick the CEO of the Tait Group.

I am very fortunate that Tait in Australia, New Zealandand the Pacific has had a legacy of loyal customers, well performing products and talented and dedicated staff including some talented individuals at the senior level such as Warren Rickard who went on to become the CEO of our corporate organisation in Christchurch .

Tait Oceania is extremely important to the Tait group not only because of its size and its representation in the home market but also because much of what we learn, we learn here.

I am looking forward to the challenge of leading this organisation to achieve our potential and to perform to your expectations of us. The staff here represent some of the best in the business and our customers the cream of the industry. It seems a very good match and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can as I plan a visit schedule with the Tait sales representatives.
