TaitNet TN1100 solution improves coverage and call logging
Two enhancements to the TN1100 system will increase functionality and provide improved coverage areas.
Built on Tait’s proven MPT 1327 platform, the TN1100 now offers coverage expansion and can also detail call logging. TN1100 systems are proving especially popular as a cost-effective solution for shopping centres, industrial sites and universities.
Improved coverage (TN1810-06-0000)
Tait has introduced a cost-effective and versatile trunked radio solution that provides a cost-effective secondary site. The enhancement does not require a dedicated landline, which can be a costly item, to link the two sites. Instead MPT mobile radios are used to link the secondary and primary sites.
The major beneficiaries of the TaitNet TN1100 will be those companies and organisations that do not obtain maximum coverage with a single-site system. Previously the TN1100 was only able to operate at a single site. The solution will be able to provide coverage to those sites, even on small campuses, where coverage may be unavailable, such as underground car parks.
Additionally, all call types including individual, group, emergency and broadcast calls are often available over both sites which maximises versatility. The TN1100 improved communications at one of the world’s most advanced shopping complexes in Birmingham, England (shown in picture). The unique ergonomics of the steel-framed building required communications between the underground control room and security on the shop floor.
Call detail logging (T1810-07-0000)
The TN1100 can now also log details of all radio and telephone calls made on the system by using an integrated hardware package. This module eliminates the need to use a computer to store crucial information and can be used as a basis for health and safety audits or airtime billing.
Call information can be retrieved at the primary site with a laptop or remotely via a dial-up modem access. The module will also store site event and alarm information for remote diagnostic purposes.
