The Tait Radio Modem is designed to offer communication equipment manufacturers or system designers an off-the-shelf solution for data transfer applications.

The modem utilises a proven, reliable radio platform and supports a wide range of standard signalling commonly used on conventional radio networks.

Applications include standalone use in point-to-point or point-to-multi-point data communications.

The core of the radio modem uses a DSP chip, which brings leading edge technology into the world of radio data transfer.

Mobile Data Terminal

The Tait Mobile Data Terminal is a robust unit with a high quality LCD display and flexible mounting options. Off the shelf applications include two-way text and status messaging, intelligent AVL and two-way e-mail.

You can choose standard or enhanced firmware for the MDT, depending on the functionality you require.

The standard MDT package provides status message receive and transmit, while the addition of an AT PC keyboard also allows text message receive and transmit. ASCII printer interface and MAP27 connectivity are also standard features.

The enhanced MDT package provides the entire feature set of the standard package as well as GPS polling and location display.

SmartTRAC, in conjunction with Absolute Communications, is a highly scalable PC based, off-the-shelf Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and messaging solution.

The SmartTRAC fleet management system provides automatic vehicle location and messaging applications for businesses requiring to keep track of their mobile workforce and communicate with them more effectively.

SmartTRAC utilises a combination of Tait trunked mobile radios, MPT 1327/MPT 1343 infrastructure (TaitNet wide area systems, TaitNet regional systems or T1810), SmartTRAC mapping and fleet management software and global positioning technology.
