Tait Radio Communications Signs Contract with Wood County, WI
Tait Radio Communications has been awarded a contract agreement with Wood County in Wisconsin to provide the TaitNet QS2 simulcast network for use in public safety departments and agencies in the county including police, fire and EMS departments.
Wood County covers over 792 square miles in central Wisconsin.
According to Bill Fredrickson, President of Tait Radio Communications North America, Tait's QS2 system is ideal for Wood County because it provides the saturation coverage to ensure all staff are instantly available on the same channel and stay connected in the most challenging working environments. The QS2 system also overcomes the biggest drawback of traditional simulcast systems - costly regular maintenance.
The new second generation QS2 system is now even more cost-effective through a simpler system architecture, which overcomes the need for several of the hardware modules required in the original system. The simpler and more flexible architecture means the system is easier to understand and operate, Fredrickson says.
