Tait is gathering strong momentum in the North American mobile radio industry, with huge interest being shown in Tait products and solutions at the recent International Wireless Communications Expo in Las Vegas.

At this year's IWCE show, a key event in the global mobile radio industry's calendar, the Tait North America exhibit was constantly filled with customers, prospective customers, dealer partners and others interested in what Tait has to offer.

IWCE is North America's largest annual wireless communications technologies trade show, dedicated to dealers, public safety professionals and end users of wireless communications equipment including transportation and utilities.

"We were extremely pleased with the interest in Tait at the May expo, we had a record turn-out in our booth," says Bill Fredrickson, President of Tait North America. "Tait is now making a strong impact on mobile radio customers and dealers in North America, and our steady growth in this region is key to the growth of Tait on a global scale," Mr Fredrickson says.

"We took a new story to IWCE this year, with a theme of What Makes Tait Different? Instead of the typical trade show approach where manufactures display their arsenal of hardware, we chose to tell the story of how Tait 'Fits Right'. We talked about what we do and how we tailor our solutions and services to meet the precise needs of our customers, and by all accounts, our customers loved it," he says.

The Tait exhibit included an overview of the depth of the infrastructure technology Tait employs, including TaitNet MPT 1327, QS² Simulcast, and digital P25 IP networks.

Tait demonstrated its unique TB8100 feature set which now includes ethernet capability, its TB9100 IP networks and also its P25 portables and mobile radios. The company's latest products - the TM8235 MPT 1327 mobile and the TM8260 dual receive and transmit mobile - were prominently featured throughout the booth.

Also, the new Tait North America Dealer Programme received great reviews. Tait dedicated prime real estate within the booth to promote the new programme which is designed to recruit select dealers who are experienced and knowledgeable in system sales and installation.

And, thanks to an aggressive pre-show campaign, Tait not only had a record turn-out in the booth, it also exceeded all expectations for this year's Dealer Meeting and Consultants Luncheon.
