Tait North Asia's sales successes in China continue with two recent high profile customers, the Chinese Ministry of Railways (CMOR) and the Wan Jai Jai water diversion project.

The TaitNet system supplied to the CMOR is the first trunked rail communications system Tait has provided on the Chinese mainland.

The customer is a large marshalling yard in southern China. The applications include despatching, management, signal, and radio communications for the customer.

"It has helped the customer improve greatly on better utilisation of frequency spectrums against conventional radio alternatives, despatching efficiencies, and rail shunting operations," says Tait North Asia Managing Director, Alfred Tsang.

Future sales of these TaitNet sytems also look promising. "There are hundreds of marshalling yards in China, and we expect more to come onboard in the use of trunk solutions" says Alfred.

Tait's successful tender to supply radio communications system for the Wan Jai Jai water diversion project is another major customer for Tait North Asia.

The river diversion project to divert part of the Yellow River is of vital importance to the Shanxi Province, specifically the Tai Yuen area.

Shanxi, a water-short and arid province, is the largest coal producer and one of the major electricity bases in China and therefore consumes large quantities of water. Residents of Tai Yuen have also experienced severe droughts over recent years and up until the water diversion were having to rely on stored water.

"The TaitNet trunked radio communications system provides advanced, reliable functions, including radio voice communication, data transmission and remote monitoring- vital tools for the customer's communication and data management," says Alfred.
