Tait Electronics has elevated its status as a successful global player in mobile radio communications with the worldwide launch of its new 8000 Series of innovative, high performing mobile radio products.

The company has now launched its TB8100 base station and TM8100 mobile radio at events in the Czech Republic, USA, South Africa, Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, China and Dubai. More than 300 Tait channel partners and system integrators attended the events held over the past three months, and responded enthusiastically to the new products.

Tait marketing and customer service organisation staff and managers who attended the launches gave comprehensive presentations on the new products, and also held live demonstrations allowing conference attendees to see the products in action.

Mike Fraser, Tait Electronics' General Manager Global Sales and Marketing, says this is the first time in Tait's 35 year history that new products have been launched worldwide at integrated, consecutive events throughout the regions.

"The launch events showcasing our two newest products were rolled out throughout the regions over three months to give the products maximum exposure to global markets," Mr Fraser says.

"These events were professionally planned and executed, with sales and technical training held in the regions at the same time. The post-launch response we've received has proved that Tait is right up there with the top global competitors when it comes to developing and marketing products with advanced and extensive feature sets," he says.

The TB8100 base station was extremely well received during the product launches, with conference attendees impressed by its market-leading remote control capabilities. The high speed data transmission of the TM8100 mobile also exceeded the expectations of many attendees.

Tait overcame a number of significant challenges to globally launch the TB8100 base station and TM8100 mobile. Launching two new products simultaneously was a first for Tait, as was staging a full press event in Prague to release the products to key European mobile communications media.

The company also made the bold move of sharing its future product roadmap with launch event attendees, making public its strategy for new and upcoming products. Not only that, Tait used the launches to announce its plans for releasing digital products that are APCO P25 compliant.

Mr Fraser says the product launches have given Tait considerable global recognition as a major competitor in mobile radio communications.

"Before we launched these exciting new products, Tait was recognised as a small full-line player in the industry. That has changed now - we've gained a reputation for being a large niche player with high quality, value priced custom solutions, with a professionalism, flexibility and customer responsiveness unmatched by many of our competitors," Mr Fraser says.

A post-launch plan for the new 8000 Series products is now being implemented throughout the regions to boost sales and further build product and brand awareness. Extensive product development at Tait continues, with the next releases of 8000 Series products due in mid-2004.
