Premier Presence at IWCE
Date : April 5, 2004
The new Tait 8000 Series of mobiles and base stations was one of the talking points of IWCE 2004, the world's largest mobile radio tradeshow, held in Las Vegas, 24-26 March.
"The interest in these high performing new products was phenomenal," says Tait North America President, Tom Wineland."There was standing room only for many people at our dealer function, and everyone was talking about the remote control and diagnostics of the base station, and features like the high speed data capability and flexibility of our new mobiles."
In addition to the recently released TM8100 mobile, Tait unveiled the dual mode, full display TM8200, which will be launched towards the end of the year, as well as a new high power mobile.
The full range of TaitNet systems were also demonstrated: the MPT 1327 trunked systems which are gaining popularity in North America, as well as the low maintenance QS Simulcast systems which have been installed from coast to coast.
"Our APCO P25 digital range, which will be launched next year, also attracted considerable interest," says Mr Wineland. "The market is looking for another supplier committed to offering a full range of competitively priced P25 equipment."
Tait had its largest ever presence at IWCE this year, more than doubling the size of its booth, and being one of four premier partner sponsors of the show.
"This was a very real demonstration of our commitment to the North America market," says Mr Wineland. "Our large booth was on the front row of the show and we were continually busy demonstrating and taking orders for our products."
