Tait Takes New Products To Fiji
Date : April 5, 2004
Tait Electronics has successfully launched its new 8000 Series of mobile and base station products in Fiji, at a dealer conference in Suva.
Tait's largest dealer in Fiji, Communication Technology, hosted the conference which attracted about 50 existing and potential customers from around the islands. There was an enthusiastic response to the 8000 Series of innovative, high-performing and software-flexible products - the TM8100 mobile radio and TB8100 base station with remote monitoring capabilities.
Companies attending the conference and product launch included existing Tait customers such as Telecom Fiji and Fiji Police, as well as Fijian Army and Navy representatives and local oil company representatives.
Fiji is a strong and growing market for Tait, explains Tait New Zealand Marketing Manager Jo Creagh.
"The conference gave our exclusive Fiji dealer, Communication Technology, and existing and potential customers the opportunity to view the new 8000 Series of Tait products and to discuss with Tait account managers how the company can help to improve communications on the islands.
"There are plenty of opportunities for Tait in Fiji. We are committed to the market there and have proven that commitment by making the effort to hold a conference there and keep the population informed about what Tait can offer," Ms Creagh says.
During the Tait visit to Fiji, New Zealand Sales Manager Dave Parker visited existing customer Telecom Fiji, which had installed a TaitNet trunked radio system as the backbone of the country's rural telephone service. There is now a demand for further expansion of the network, Mr Parker says, and Tait is working closely with the customer to enable this.
Fiji Police, another Tait customer using a TaitNet trunked radio system, is also considering an upgrade.
