Tait Launches New TM8110 Mobile Radio
Date : April 28, 2004
Tait has launched a new 10-channel mobile radio to add to its innovative TM8100 series - an addition which expands the series to three radios, all offering key strengths of ruggedness, high speed data transmission and ease of integration.
The TM8110 mobile radio has been launched as an extension to the TM8100 series, which includes the TM8115 24-channel mobile radio and the TM8105 24-channel data radio. All radios in the TM8100 series are based on state-of-the-art Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technology and can transmit high speed data (up to 19.2 kbps) through an internal software modem.
Tait's latest product offering is a 10-channel mobile radio with a one-digit LCD display. The TM8110 has been designed to meet the needs of customers requiring only a small number of radio channels.
The TM8100 range now covers a much wider segment of the global market with the new TM8110 added, says TM8000 series product manager Margaret Grant. The expanded range now offers customers the option of a radio with 10 or 24 channels, but with the same advanced feature set including robust RF performance, ultimate flexibility for system integration, and rugged construction.
"The TM8110 has been designed to cater for the large volume of customers who are looking for a high quality, software-flexible radio with a limited number of channels. The equivalent Tait T2000 mobile radio, the T2010, represents a significant volume of our current business and the newer, more advanced TM8110 will eventually replace this hugely popular product," Ms Grant says.
Tait has developed the TM8110 mobile radio in recent months to meet global customer demand, and the product is now being manufactured for sale in Tait's global markets.
